Spokane Hoopfest is the biggest 3-on-3 street basketball tournament in the world!  It was pretty amazing to see the streets of downtown Spokane lined with basketball hoops and players.  My stepson Nick and his team, the Chiefs were rockstars!!   They made it all the way until 2pm on Sunday and I think Nick’s mom Patty was kind a relieved that they finally lost…she had been there supporting the team starting at 8am on Saturday.

Yes, I DID risk my life for these photos from up high.  I was spotted by the police down below while leaning over the edge of the rooftop of the parkade parking garage.  At first, I think they thought I was getting ready to jump but then they saw my big lens and seemed to be ok with me hanging over the edge.

Rhode Island Visit

June 27, 2009

My daughther Ava and I just returned last week from a visit to my hometown of Tiverton, Rhode Island which for those of you who are not familiar with the east coast is about 15 miles from Newport, RI – the host of the America’s Cup 1974 regatta.  It’s a beautiful part of the country if you haven’t been.  All of my family is there and we try to visit at least a few times a year.  Here are a few fun photos from the trip…

Zoe is a beautiful little girl that I have the pleasure of knowing personally. This is a great shot of her! It captures her “spirit”.

Congratulations Ironmen and women!!  Thank you for making it such an exciting day for Coeur d’Alene!

Here are a few of the group photos that i took yesterday of the race.  If you would like to purchase any of these, they are available in a variety of sizes …. color or black & white.  If you are looking for more of an art piece rather than a photographic print, the images can also be printed on fine art metallic paper, as a canvas gallery wrap or metal mural.   I would recommend a larger piece as they are much more intense in a larger format (12×36 or 15×40).  An art piece or photograph make a great gift.

MORE IMAGES TO COME…..As I go through the many images that were captured this year, I will add them to the “Ironman Triathlon Photos” tab on this blog so check back at the end of July for more photos.   Call the studio if you have questions…208-704-7463

We  just returned from an amazing trip to the tulip fields of northwest Washington….A beautiful place called Skagit Valley and if you haven’t been, you need to visit.  Every year around that last weekend in April is their tulip festival.  It reminds me of a little Holland.  My daughter and I went with our friends Amy and Penelope and it was the perfect long weeknd.  Here are some photos…
