Here are some of my recent summertime and fall favorites….

Hope you enjoy!!

"Yesterday's News"

"Yesterday's News"

This image was taken at my friend KJ’s ranch in Kalispell, Montana.  I did some artsy things to it and printed it on metal.  I love that you can see her dad’s math work on the wall in the upper right hand corner.

Sweet sisters, Anna and Delaney

Sweet sisters, Anna and Delaney

Anna was such a great big sister and no matter what she did to baby sis Delaney (including dragging her around in the basket) all was good with the world.  One of my favorite quotes on sisters…  “A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost”    Marion C. Garretty

A fun playdate with Jackson and Richard

A fun playdate with Jackson and Richard

The only way to capture the true spirit of kids is to let them play.  Jack and Rich threw rocks, built sand castles and we ended our playdate with a swim in the lake, fully clothed.  It’s a good thing mom came prepared with a change of clothes in the car.

Beautiful Katie

I loved Katie’s pretty auburn hair and how the fall leaves were a perfect backdrop for this pregnancy session.

Kole and Finley

Kole (we call him Kole man) is in my daughter Ava’s kindergarten class.  She is very fond of him and so is his little sister Finely.

More 2009 Ironman Art

August 5, 2009

As promised, here are some additional art pieces from this year’s Ironman, Coeur d’Alene.  They range in size and price and can be customized to fit a specific wall in your home or office.  I have chosen to print them on a variety of fine art material including canvas, metal, watercolor paper, metallic paper….all depending on the piece and how I thought it would best display.

As with all of my artistic pieces, I print only 25 images and sign and date the back.  When all 25 in the series have sold, the image is retired and no more are printed.

If you wish to see samples of the following, please contact the studio at 208-704-7463. Or, if you know of anyone who may be interested, please let them know.

Additionally, if you have a digital image that someone has taken of you from the race or a prior race and would like me to turn it into an art piece, that is an option as well.

Thanks!!!  Margaret

I need 8-10 substantial (chunky, hefty, plump or whatever you wish to call it) baby girls on Friday, July 24th sitting up to about 2.5 years old.  Margaret Boyd Photography has recieved several new shipments of adorably colorful tutus and flowered hats and head pieces that need to be photographed asap!
If you know of anybody in the area who would love some freebies, have them call the studio 208-704-7463.  www.margaretboyd.net

Spokane Hoopfest is the biggest 3-on-3 street basketball tournament in the world!  It was pretty amazing to see the streets of downtown Spokane lined with basketball hoops and players.  My stepson Nick and his team, the Chiefs were rockstars!!   They made it all the way until 2pm on Sunday and I think Nick’s mom Patty was kind a relieved that they finally lost…she had been there supporting the team starting at 8am on Saturday.

Yes, I DID risk my life for these photos from up high.  I was spotted by the police down below while leaning over the edge of the rooftop of the parkade parking garage.  At first, I think they thought I was getting ready to jump but then they saw my big lens and seemed to be ok with me hanging over the edge.

Would look sweet as a fine art print.

Rhode Island Visit

June 27, 2009

My daughther Ava and I just returned last week from a visit to my hometown of Tiverton, Rhode Island which for those of you who are not familiar with the east coast is about 15 miles from Newport, RI - the host of the America’s Cup 1974 regatta.  It’s a beautiful part of the country if you haven’t been.  All of my family is there and we try to visit at least a few times a year.  Here are a few fun photos from the trip…

Zoe is a beautiful little girl that I have the pleasure of knowing personally. This is a great shot of her! It captures her “spirit”.
